The Narghil Pass was a narrow way through the southern Ephel Dúath, linking Núrn inside Mordor to Near Harad beyond.
The Narghil Pass, known also as the Nargil Pass or the Nargul Pass, was a narrow way through the southern part of the Ephel Dúath, linking Núrn within Mordor to Near Harad beyond it. A southern river that ran north into the Sea of Núrnen rose in the northern end of the pass. One of the great roads to Haradwaith and Rhûn may have run through it, the road by which the soldiers of Barad-dûr brought goods and booty and fresh slaves back from the tributary lands in long waggon-trains.
