Mrs. Proudfoot was a Hobbit of the Shire and the wife of Odo Proudfoot. Their son Olo was born in TA 2946. Little else about her was written down, not even her own given name or the year of her death. She appears without a line of dialogue in Peter Jackson's The Fellowship of the Ring, in the Shire sequence early in the film, scolding her husband for enjoying Gandalf's fireworks.
