Maglor

Maglor is the second of the seven sons of Fëanor and Nerdanel, born in Eldamar during the Noontide of Valinor. The Silmarillion names him the greatest poet and minstrel of the Noldor, and says he took after his mother in temper, gentler than most of his house. He is one of only three of the brothers who marry, though nothing is recorded of his wife. Bound with his father and brothers by the oath to recover the Silmarils, he comes east to Middle-earth, and there he makes the lament called the Noldolantë, the Fall of the Noldor. His lands lie between the hill of Himring and the Blue Mountains, in the open country afterwards called Maglor's Gap.
