Lindon

Lindon is the country at the far western edge of Middle-earth, lying beyond the Blue Mountains and west of the River Lune, with Arnor on the farther bank. The Gulf of Lune cuts into it and splits the land in two, Forlindon to the north and Harlindon to the south. The Silmarillion records the name as one the exiled Noldor first gave to Ossiriand, the land of the Seven Rivers, where Green Elves of the Laiquendi lived in the earliest days. In the age that follows it is an Elven kingdom under Gil-galad, with the havens of Mithlond built upon the gulf, and it is known above all for those harbours and for the ships that put out from them into the West.
