Imrazôr

The traditions of Gondor recorded in Unfinished Tales preserve the name of a lord of the coastlands. Imrazôr, called the Númenórean, dwells in Belfalas in the earlier centuries of the Third Age, in the fair hill country beside the great bay of the South. From him descends the line of the Princes of Dol Amroth, the sea-facing house that ranks among the noblest of Gondor's fiefdoms, and for that reason his name keeps its place in the genealogies of the realm. Around his family gathers one of the gentler legends of the histories: tradition holds that Elves once dwelt near those shores, and that an Elvish strain entered the blood of the princes in his day. Beyond such notices little is told of the man himself; he belongs to the quiet background of the record, one of the names by which Gondor remembers its long past.
