Hildigrim Took
Fourth of the twelve children of Gerontius Took, the Old Took, Hildigrim married Rosa Baggins and was great-grandfather to Peregrin Took and Meriadoc Brandybuck.
Hildigrim Took was a Hobbit of the Shire, the fourth of the twelve children of Gerontius Took, the Old Took, and Adamanta, born a Chubb. He married Rosa Baggins, and their son Adalgrim was born when Hildigrim was forty. He was long-lived even for a hobbit, and died in TA 2941 at a hundred and one. Through Adalgrim he was great-grandfather to both Peregrin Took and Meriadoc Brandybuck, and through his sister Belladonna he was one of the many uncles of Bilbo Baggins.
