Hador of Gondor
Hador held the stewardship of Gondor for a hundred and seventeen years from the year 2278 of the Third Age, seventh of the Ruling Stewards and the last of the nobility to live to a hundred and fifty.
Hador was the seventh Ruling Steward of Gondor, born in the year 2245 of the Third Age, the only son of Túrin I. He took the office when his father died in 2278 and held it a hundred and seventeen years, all of it inside the long quiet that the chroniclers call the Watchful Peace. On the three hundredth anniversary of the Steward's Reckoning he altered the calendar Mardil Voronwë had made, adding a day to bring it nearer to true. He died in 2395 at the age of a hundred and fifty, the last of Gondor's nobility to reach such an age, and his son Barahir followed him.
