Gondor
Gondor is the South-realm, a land of Men lying above the mouths of Anduin.
Gondor, in Elrond's telling, holds high towers, strong places and havens for many ships. Its chief city in that account is Osgiliath, the Citadel of the Stars, with the River flowing through its midst. Elrond places Minas Ithil, the Tower of the Rising Moon, to the east on one shoulder of the Mountains of Shadow, with Minas Anor, the Tower of the Setting Sun, to the west at the foot of the White Mountains.
Boromir names Gondor as his own country. By his reckoning it can be reached from the north through the Gap of Rohan, or by crossing the Isen and passing through Langstrand and Lebennin to the regions near the sea.
