Galvorn was the shining black metal devised by Eöl, and it grew out of the skill in metalwork he had learned from his Dwarf friends in the Blue Mountains. It was said to be as hard as Dwarf-steel while staying supple and easy to work. Eöl himself had a suit of black armour made from it, which he wore whenever he left his home in the deep woods of Nan Elmoth.
