Galadriel
Galadriel is the Lady of Lothlórien in The Fellowship of the Ring, an Elf of great age and power who rules the Golden Wood with Celeborn.
Deep in the Golden Wood between the mountains and the Great River, The Fellowship of the Ring brings its travelers before a lady whose memory reaches back over ages of the world. Galadriel rules the forest realm of Lothlórien together with Celeborn her husband, lady and lord of the tree-dwelling Galadhrim. Tall, grave, and golden-haired, she is counted among the greatest of the Elves remaining in Middle-earth, and rumor in the outside lands paints her wood as perilous, though no evil dwells in it. Beneath her city of Caras Galadhon lies a hollow with a silver basin, the mirror that bears her name: filled with water, it shows the one who looks into it things that were, things that are, and things that yet may be. Her welcome, her searching gaze, and her gifts send travelers onward changed.
