Fredegar Bolger
Fredegar Bolger, called Fatty, is a young hobbit of the Shire and a friend of Frodo Baggins, one of those who come to help him pack when he leaves Bag End.
Fredegar is among the younger hobbits, many descended from the Old Took, who knew Bilbo as children and visited Bag End often. When the move draws near he comes to stay at Bag End with Folco Boffin, Pippin and Merry to help with the packing, and between them they turn the whole house upside down. The morning after the party he drives off with Merry and the last cartload, so that someone can reach the new house at Crickhollow and warm it before Frodo arrives.
