Elendur of Arnor

Elendur was one of the Dúnedain of the North and the ninth High King of Arnor. He was a son of Valandur and succeeded his father, holding the kingship for a hundred and twenty-five years. He may have been named for Isildur's eldest son, who bore the same name. Nothing precise is known of the events of his reign, though it was probably a peaceful one. He died in TA 777, and his son Eärendur came after him.
