Elendilmir
Two star-shaped white gems on fillets of mithril bore in turn the name Elendilmir, or Star of Elendil, worn on the brow as the token of royalty in the North Kingdom of the Dunedain.
Two star-shaped white gems, each set upon a fillet of mithril, bore in turn the name Elendilmir, the Star of Elendil. These great gems seemed to burn with an inner light. The elder jewel dated back to the early centuries of Numenor, where it belonged to Silmarien, daughter of King Tar-Elendil, and from her it passed down through the Lords of Andunie. Carried at last to Middle-earth, it was worn upon the brow rather than in a crown, and as the token of royalty in the North it gained the names Star of the North and Star of the North Kingdom.
