A member of the Banks family, Eglantine married Paladin Took, later Thain Paladin II.
Eglantine Took, born a Banks, was a Hobbit of the Shire and a member of the Banks family. She was born some time in the late Third Age, and at some point married Paladin Took, who became Thain Paladin II. Four children came of the marriage: Pearl in TA 2975, Pimpernel in 2979, Pervinca in 2985, and Peregrin, called Pippin, in 2990. She and her family were among the guests at Bilbo Baggins's birthday party on the twenty-second of September, 3001. The year of her death is not recorded.
