A King of Durin's Folk who ruled Khazad-dûm in the early Third Age, Durin V was held, like every Dwarf-king of that name, to be Durin the Deathless come again.
Durin V was a King of Durin's Folk and lord of Khazad-dûm. Every Dwarf-king who bore the name Durin was held by his people to be Durin the Deathless come again, alike to the first of the Seven Fathers in face and in bearing, and so the name ran down the line. Durin V held the kingdom in the early Third Age, when Khazad-dûm stood at the height of its glory, and his reign passed without great calamity. Little else of his time is recorded.
