Drogo Baggins

Drogo Baggins was a hobbit of the Shire, eldest son of Fosco Baggins and brother to Dora and Dudo, and a second cousin of Bilbo Baggins. He married Primula Brandybuck, and their only child was Frodo. After the marriage Drogo lived in Buckland and was often at Brandy Hall, where his father-in-law Gorbadoc Brandybuck kept a generous table. He and Primula drowned in the Brandywine when Frodo was twelve, and the Shire never settled on how it had happened: some said the boat went down under Drogo's weight after a heavy dinner, others held that Primula pushed him in and was pulled after him. He was seventy-one or seventy-two. The Gaffer remembered him as a decent, respectable hobbit who was partial to his vittles.
