Dragon-helm of Dor-lómin
The Dragon-helm of Dor-lomin was a fearsome helm of grey steel and gold crowned with an image of Glaurung, made by Telchar of Nogrod, that passed from Azaghal through the Noldor to the House of Hador.
Grey steel adorned with gold, crowned with a sculpted image of the dragon Glaurung and visored in the fashion of dwarven armour, the Dragon-helm of Dor-lomin struck fear into the enemies of any who wore it. It was crafted by the Dwarf-smith Telchar of Nogrod for Azaghal, lord of Belegost, and Azaghal gave it as a gift to Maedhros, from whom it passed to Fingon and thence into the keeping of the High Kings of the Noldor, until at last it came to the House of Hador. A power was in it that guarded its wearer from wound or death.
