Dior
Dior the Fair is the son of Beren and Lúthien in The Silmarillion and the first of the Half-elven, joining the blood of Men, Elves and the Ainur.
Dior, called Eluchîl and Dior the Fair, is the son of Beren of the House of Bëor and of Lúthien, daughter of Thingol and Melian. The Silmarillion counts him the first of the Half-elven, since three kindreds meet in him: Men through his father, Elves through Thingol, and the Ainur through Melian the Maia. He is born on the island of Tol Galen in East Beleriand and afterwards makes his home at Lanthir Lamath, the falls of echoing voices. There he marries Nimloth of Doriath, daughter of Galathil, and they have three children, the twin boys Eluréd and Elurín and a daughter, Elwing.
