The Desert of Lostladen is a great waste of Near Harad, south of Mordor and east of the Harad Road.
South of Mordor and east of the Harad Road lies the Desert of Lostladen, called also the Lothland desert, a great waste in the Near Harad country of Haradwaith. One of the roads running down to Haradwaith and across to Rhûn may have crossed it, the route by which the soldiers of the Dark Tower brought their takings home in long waggon-trains: goods, booty, and fresh slaves out of the tributary lands.
