Bungo Baggins
The eldest son of Mungo Baggins and Laura Grubb, Bungo married Belladonna Took, dug Bag End in the Hill at Hobbiton for her, and fathered Bilbo.
Bungo Baggins was a hobbit of the Shire and the father of Bilbo. Born in the year 2846 of the Third Age, he was the eldest of the five children of Mungo Baggins and Laura Grubb, with Belba, Longo, Linda and Bingo coming after him. He married Belladonna Took and dug for her the most comfortable hobbit-hole in Hobbiton, driven into the Hill and called Bag End. Their one child, Bilbo, was born in 2890, and Bungo died in 2926. What is remembered of him besides fathering Bilbo is that house, which has since seen more consequential meetings than any other hole in the Shire.
