Bilbo Baggins
A hobbit of the Shire, proud of his respectable Baggins blood and quietly stirred by the wandering streak he gets from the Tooks.
Bilbo Baggins smokes an enormous long wooden pipe, one that reaches almost to his woolly toes, and he keeps those toes neatly brushed. His home is a beautiful hobbit-hole under The Hill, and at about fifty he has settled into it as if he means never to move.
Adventures are not for him, by his own account. He wants none of them, and suggests that anyone after them try across The Water, or over The Hill. A Good morning from him at the door can mean the conversation is at an end.
