Belladonna (Took) Baggins

Belladonna Took was the ninth child of the Old Took and the eldest of his daughters to reach her full years, which in a family that size counts as a distinction on its own. She married Bungo Baggins, and between them they paid for Bag End, the most comfortable hobbit-hole in the Shire, dug to her husband's satisfaction and largely with her money. Their only child, Bilbo, was born in the year 2890. She was a Took, out of a family with a name in the Shire for turning up where hobbits are not expected to be, and Gandalf knew her well, which in the Shire counts against a person rather than for one.
