Aulendil (Vardamir's son)

Aulendil was a Man of Númenor, the third child and second son of Vardamir Nólimon, who reigned only briefly as the second King of the island. He was born in Númenor, though where is not recorded. His brothers and sister were Tar-Amandil, the eldest, who was crowned third King, Vardilmë, and the youngest, Nolondil. His father may have been Half-elven, as his own father Elros was, which would make Aulendil a Half-elf of the third generation: slow to come to maturity and long in his youth after the manner of the Elves, yet fated for mortality after the manner of Men. Nothing more is known of his life, except that he married and had children.
