Aragorn II, son of Arathorn II and Gilraen, was a ranger of the wild who moved through the northern lands in near-anonymity.
Aragorn comes into the tale Frodo hears of the hunt for Gollum. The one telling it calls him a friend, and the greatest traveller and hunter of the age. Together they comb the length of Wilderland for Gollum.
