Mary is a maid of the Belzerg royal family in KonoSuba, a professional to the bone who keeps her courtesy intact no matter how trying the guest she is assigned to serve.
Not every figure in KonoSuba carries a sword or a spellbook; the Royal Castle of Belzerg runs on staff. Mary is a maid in service to the royal family, a young woman who wears the standard uniform, keeps her hair tied up, and goes about her chores with drilled professionalism. Palace service demands composure around guests of every rank and temperament, and Mary's defining trait is that her manners hold even when the person she attends is plainly infuriating; she endures conduct up to and including open harassment without letting the mask of courtesy slip.
