Mage-Killer

The Crimson Demons of KonoSuba, a tribe of elite mages, keep their own nemesis under lock and key. The Mage-Killer is a weapon built to counter magic users: a huge mechanical serpent that negates the effects of all magic in its vicinity, a property that would render the tribe's entire arsenal useless. It lies sealed within a secret facility at the Crimson Demon Village, where the villagers, in full chuunibyou form, treat guardianship of their designated archenemy as a point of tribal pride. The design also exists in an older self-autonomous test model, the Mage-Killer Prototype, a silver serpent with a bladed, fanged head and a stinger tail, sealed separately. As village lore the thing plays like a tourist story; as engineering it is entirely real.
