Every adventurer in KonoSuba's beginner town of Axel passes the same desk, usually several times a day: the desk of Luna, receptionist of the Axel Adventurer Guild. She registers newcomers, posts quests, pays out rewards, and fields complaints about the town's more troublesome parties. Polite, sweet, and unfailingly professional, she can also be shrewd when work demands it, staging the right moment to press reluctant adventurers into difficult quests nobody wants. The job leaves her chronically frazzled; she spends her scarce free time asleep, watches co-workers quit to get married, and worries about her own prospects while the paperwork keeps piling up.
