The Island in the Sky is a centuries-abandoned ruin floating over Belzerg in KonoSuba, held up by staggering magic, patrolled by strangely evolved monsters and dotted with broken golems.
High above KonoSuba's Kingdom of Belzerg floats a ruin that has no business staying up. The Island in the Sky is a landmass of overgrown, crumbling structures and broken or barely functioning golems, held aloft, along with its attendant network of islets, by staggering quantities of magic. It has sat abandoned for centuries, and the isolation shows in the wildlife: monsters there evolved along different lines from their ground-level kin and roam the ruins unchallenged. The island's deeper architecture is elaborate, including an altar at the top of the main temple that serves as the nexus of its magic generator, and hidden trial floors reachable only by warp portals. For most of the world below, it is simply a shape in the sky.
