The Devil King's Army in KonoSuba is the monster horde warring on humanity, topped by eight Generals who maintain the castle barrier and trailed by candidates angling for a seat among them.
Opposing the adventurers, kingdoms, and churches of KonoSuba stands a single military machine. The Devil King's Army is the horde of monsters under the Devil King's command, waging his war against humanity across the Kingdom of Belzerg's borders. At its apex sit the Devil King's Generals, eight of the most powerful monsters in the army, whose standing duty is to maintain the barrier shielding the Devil King's Castle; some command divisions or field armies, while others hold the title in name only and pursue private agendas from their posts. Below them, promising monsters may be named General Candidates, prospects for a seat at the top. The army's pressure on the frontier is the reason beginner towns, hero candidates, and cheat-equipped reincarnations exist at all.
