Arachne

Cave systems in KonoSuba host one of the setting's more selective predators. The arachne is a monster with the upper body of a woman rising from the body of a giant spider, a combination whose details vary from telling to telling but always keeps both halves. Like their purely arachnid cousins, arachnes lair in caves and string them with huge, sticky webs to catch whatever wanders in, though the species is notorious for a particular taste in prey: they prefer young men. Their signature technique is the sticky web itself, spun large and thrown over victims to bind them fast, after which the arachne feeds at leisure. They are classed among the world's demi-human monsters.
