Wyatt Callow
A quiet, observant boy from District 12's Seam, reaped for the 50th Hunger Games in Sunrise on the Reaping.
Wyatt Callow is one of the four tributes reaped from District 12 for the 50th Hunger Games in Sunrise on the Reaping, the second Quarter Quell, in which every district must give up twice the usual number of children. A quiet boy from the Seam with a miner's muscle and a habit of keeping his head down, he is introduced in the synopsis as a compulsive oddsmaker. Numbers are how he meets the world: he carries an unusual gift for arithmetic and probability, watches everything and everyone with a flat, unreadable stare, and quietly calculates the chances attached to every person and choice around him, including his own. That constant reckoning can read as cold on first meeting, but it is the surface of a sharp, disciplined, deeply observant mind.
