Wyatt Callow is a District 12 boy from the far side of the Seam, the first boy drawn for the second Quarter Quell, who walks to the stage with measured steps and a face that gives nothing away.
Haymitch barely knows him and guesses from his absence at school that he has gone to work in the mines. When the drawing is staged a second time for the broadcast, Wyatt takes his place on the stage again just as impassively, and Peacekeepers steer him into the Justice Building while batons hold back the families.
