Triti Lancaster works the wheat fields of District 9. The Capitol selected her as one of its District Heroes, a set of portraits meant to hold up model citizens from across Panem, and the case made for her rests on her generosity toward her neighbors and on a gentle, industrious manner that is supposed to show something of the variety of the districts. Her family agreed quickly to the payment that came with the work. In her portrait her hair is tied back, she wears a white shirt under a yellow apron, and she carries a sheaf of wheat behind her.
