Madge Undersee

Madge Undersee is the daughter of District 12's mayor and one of the few people Katniss Everdeen counts as a friend at school in The Hunger Games. She is an only child, quiet and solitary in much the same way Katniss is, which is most of why the two of them get along. Her family's position means better clothes than anyone else in her year, usually white, and a gold pin she wears with them. She is wary of people she does not know and goes cold when she is offended, but she can be urgent and steady when something matters. Her father runs the district and her mother is often laid up for days with severe headaches, so Madge does not see much of either.
