Louella McCoy
A spunky young girl from District 12, neighbor to the Abernathys, reaped for the 50th Hunger Games in Sunrise on the Reaping, the Quarter Quell year that doubles the number of tributes drawn.
Louella McCoy is a young girl from District 12 and one of the four tributes the district must send to the 50th Hunger Games in Sunrise on the Reaping. That year is the second Quarter Quell, and its twist doubles the reaping: two boys and two girls are drawn from each district instead of one of each. Hers is the first District 12 name called. Louella grows up three doors down from the Abernathy family, one of half a dozen children in a crowded household, and she has known Haymitch Abernathy all her life; at five years old she declared him her sweetheart for a solid week, then transferred her affections to a boy who gave her a bullfrog. Spunky and stubborn, she puts on a brave face whenever a camera points her way, whatever she is feeling underneath.
