Lenore Dove Baird

Lenore Dove Baird is a Covey girl from District 12 in Sunrise on the Reaping, and the girl Haymitch Abernathy is in love with. She was raised by her adoptive uncles, Clerk Carmine Clade and Tam Amber, in the Covey's house, and she does not know who her father was. She met Haymitch when they were both ten, on the first day he ever slipped under the district fence into the woods; she was reading in an apple tree above him and dropped apples on his head. She is named after a poem, she was arrested twice at twelve for acts of defiance, and she has no patience at all for the Capitol.
