Gamemakers are the Capitol officials who design and run each Hunger Games. From a control room they choose the arena's location, its landscape, its plants and animals, and the weapons and supplies stacked at the Cornucopia, and they decide what the cameras hidden throughout it show the country. They also watch the tributes through three days of training and hold private sessions on the third afternoon, giving each tribute roughly fifteen minutes to demonstrate what they can do before assigning a training score from one to twelve, announced on television the same evening. During the tribute interviews they watch from a balcony above the City Circle.
