Coriolanus Snow's mother

Coriolanus Snow's mother married into the Snow family, one of the Capitol's old names, as the wife of Crassus Snow. The people who knew her describe a young, pretty woman who checked her reflection in a silver compact she carried everywhere, who powdered with a rose scent, and who loved music. Strabo Plinth, a District 2 man the Capitol never let forget it, called her the very definition of a lady, on the grounds that she was gracious to him when almost nobody else was. Others were less generous: vapid, permanently girlish, and not really tough enough for the world she had married into.
