Coriolanus Snow

Coriolanus Snow is the president of Panem in The Hunger Games, and the young Academy student at the center of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, set sixty-four years earlier. In the prequel he is a senior at the Capitol's Academy, one of twenty-four top students chosen to mentor a tribute in the 10th Hunger Games. His family name still carries prestige, but the Snow fortune was lost in District 13 munitions and he has spent his childhood quietly poor, concealing it from his classmates behind immaculate manners. He lives with his grandmother and his older cousin Tigris, to whom he is close, and he studies hard, fixing on one problem at a time in the belief that solving it will set the rest of his life right. As president decades on, he is calm and reserved in public and never visibly loses his temper.
