A complex potion that relieves but does not cure lycanthropy, drunk daily for the week before a full moon.
The Wolfsbane Potion relieves the symptoms of lycanthropy without curing it. Its main ingredient is wolfsbane, also called aconite or monkshood. It is taken in an unusual way: a goblet full every day for the week before the full moon, and one missed dose cancels the good of all the doses before it. Damocles Belby invented it in the second half of the twentieth century, and it is the most effective treatment for werewolves anyone has found. Brewing it is extremely difficult, and the ingredients cost enough to put it out of reach for many who need it.
