The Unlocking Charm, cast with the incantation Alohomora, opens locked doors, and it is one of the first spells Hogwarts students learn in Charms, appearing in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It undoes the Locking Spell, Colloportus, and serves as its counter, while the Anti-Alohomora Charm keeps it from working on a given lock. The first volume of The Standard Book of Spells covers it in chapter seven.
