Triwizard Tournament

The Triwizard Tournament is a centuries-old contest between the three largest wizarding schools of Europe, revived in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire after a long suspension. Hogwarts, Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, and Durmstrang Institute each send a delegation, and an impartial magical judge, the Goblet of Fire, selects one champion to represent each school. Champions face three demanding magical tasks across the school year, judged by the heads of the three schools, with a thousand Galleons and the Triwizard Cup for the winner and eternal glory promised alongside. The tournament's history is dangerous enough that it was abandoned for centuries, and its revival comes with new safety rules, including a strict age line: no student under seventeen may enter.
