Triwizard Tournament
The Triwizard Tournament is a friendly competition between Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, which rank as the largest wizarding schools in Europe.
The Triwizard Tournament pits one champion from each of the three against three magical tasks, and those tasks are difficult and dangerous whatever precautions are taken.
An impartial judge decides which entrants are most worthy to compete, and only students who are of age, seventeen or older, may put their names forward. The winner receives the tournament cup, glory for the side they stand for and a sum of personal prize money.
The tournament dates back some seven hundred years.
