Three Broomsticks Inn

The Three Broomsticks is the pub at the heart of Hogsmeade, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban establishes it as the village's warmest room: crowded, noisy, low-beamed, and smoky, with a mirror behind the bar and foaming tankards travelling above the crowd. The landlady, Madam Rosmerta, is a fixture of the place, curvy, capable, and on friendly terms with half of wizarding Britain, and her hot butterbeer is the drink Hogwarts students cross the winter snow for. Village tradition dates the inn to the fifteenth century, and its custom runs from students and teachers on Hogsmeade weekends to Ministry officials passing through on business, all packed under one low ceiling.
