The Burrow is the Weasleys' crooked, magic-propped family home near Ottery St Catchpole, and the best house Harry has ever seen.
Harry first lands at the Weasley home at dawn in a flying car, beside a tumbledown garage and a yard of fat brown chickens. It seems to have begun as a big stone pigpen, with extra rooms piled on until it stands several stories high under four or five chimneys. Inside, a one-handed clock marks moments such as time to make tea, a mirror scolds untucked shirts, a ghoul bangs the pipes overhead, and gnomes overrun the garden.
