Skele-Gro
A potion that mends and regrows bone, at the cost of a slow and painful night or more.
Skele-Gro mends broken bone, and will regrow bone that has been removed or otherwise lost altogether, which is the slow and painful end of its work: a whole bone can take a full day or more to come back, and the sensation has been described as large splinters lodged in the limb. The potion arrives in a big bottle and smokes as it is poured out. It smells and tastes dreadful, burns the throat going down, and generally leaves the patient coughing. Madam Pomfrey keeps it in the Hogwarts hospital wing, usually bought in rather than brewed on the premises.
