Witches and wizards born with the Inner Eye can glimpse the future.
A Seer, also called a Clairvoyant, is a witch or wizard born with the Inner Eye, the ability to catch glimpses of what is to come. True Seers are rare, and the predictions they make are called prophecies. Divination is taught at Hogwarts, though plenty of witches and wizards treat the subject as guesswork dressed up as magic. Silver lime wands are said to suit Seers best.
