Rita Skeeter is a reporter for the Daily Prophet whose articles carry the title Special Correspondent.
Rita Skeeter writes pieces that charge the Ministry of Magic with blunders, lax security and national disgrace, and one complains that officials quibble about cauldron thickness when they ought to be stamping out vampires. At the Ministry she is spoken of as a writer who has it in for them, and one official dreads the thought of her getting hold of an embarrassing incident.
By one account she never makes anyone look good. Her reporting can get names wrong, and some call her that wretched Skeeter woman.
