Quidditch team

A Quidditch team, as laid out in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone when Harry joins his house side, fields seven players: three Chasers who score with the Quaffle, two Beaters who drive the Bludgers away from their teammates and at their opponents, a Keeper who guards the three hoops, and a Seeker whose capture of the Golden Snitch ends the match and is usually worth winning it. Quidditch is the wizarding world's ruling passion, played on broomsticks high above an oval pitch. At Hogwarts the four houses each field a team in an annual cup competition fought house against house, while beyond school the sport supports professional league sides and national teams that meet in international play.
