The scarlet ball the Chasers play with in Quidditch, worth ten points each time it passes through a goal hoop.
The Quaffle is a bright red ball about as big as a soccer ball, and three players on each side, the Chasers, pass it among themselves as they fly at the opposing hoops. A Keeper circles the hoops to keep it out. The two black Bludgers are a little smaller, and in a match the Quaffle changes hands again and again as players steal it, drop it and dodge the Bludgers.
