Petunia Dursley is Harry's aunt, a thin, blonde woman of number four, Privet Drive, who prides herself on being perfectly normal and lavishes presents on her son Dudley.
With a neck nearly twice the usual length, she spends much of her time peering over garden fences at the neighbours. She pretends she has no sister, her sister Mrs. Potter and that sister's husband being as unlike the Dursleys as anyone could be, and any mention of them upsets her. When Harry asks how he got his scar, she claims it came from a car crash when his parents died, and tells him not to ask questions.
