A Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes line imported from Peru: dropped on the ground it throws up a shroud of total darkness that most light-making spells cannot penetrate.
The name is exact. Thrown down, this powder drops a shroud of complete darkness over the area, and the darkness holds against most attempts to light a way through it, the Wand-Lighting Charm and the Fire-Making Spell included. The wizarding community of Peru invented it. Fred and George Weasley import it and sell it at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, where its obvious use is getting out of somewhere in a hurry.
